MY RESEARCH

TOPOGRAPHY OF INTRINSIC BRAIN NETWORKS IN HEALTHY HUMANS
I investigate the organization of brain networks (including the default mode network) in healthy population to gain a better understanding of the typical topography of brain networks implicated in cognitive and affective functioning.
BRAIN NETWORK CHANGES UNDERLYING CLINICAL DISORDERS
I investigate functional network changes in psychiatric disorders (including depression, anxiety and schizophrenia) as well as the effect of mindfulness combined with real-time fMRI neurofeedback.
REAL-TIME FMRI NEUROFEEDBACK
I evaluate feasibility and efficacy of novel circuit-based interventions such as real-time fMRI neurofeedback. We recently published a proof-of-concept paper demonstrating target engagement and behavioral benefit in a sample of adolescents with affective disorder history. We have also published a protocol paper for an upcoming clinical trial using the same intervention in adolescents with depression. I plan to expand this line of work to at-risk populations.
